Purpose and current status

Aftercurrent 001 is an AI-assisted generative art collection: twenty-four curves converge within a square field, producing a distinct deterministic drawing for each of 1,000 possible token IDs. The deployed release is a fixed-price ERC-721 collection on Base, paid for in native USDC.

The contract is deployed on Base mainnet at 0xDa740bAE9E8d1Bb2bEd162A3D05E3d9E6Ccc2410. Sourcify verified exact creation and runtime code matches on October 12, 2026. The initial owner and permanent proceeds recipient are 0xC577c409F570CE335cA7d885c4bfF110f202f446. The deployment receipt reports the sale closed; the website has not enabled purchases. Current onchain sale status has not been independently read by the publisher. A public creator identity and support channel remain launch prerequisites. Source verification is not a security audit.

The artwork

Each drawing consists of twenty-four quadratic curves on a dark field. The curve control points are derived from keccak256 hashes of the token ID and line index. One of five palettes is selected cyclically by token ID. Token IDs are visible in each composition. There are no paid rarity upgrades, surprise reveals, or artist-assigned rarity rankings.

The complete visual system is public and predictable before purchase. Minting assigns the next available sequential token IDs; a visitor cannot reserve a displayed composition. Other pending transactions may change the IDs a buyer receives. The algorithm does not claim cryptographic randomness or an equal chance of receiving any particular composition.

The art direction, renderer, website, documentation, and contract were developed using AI assistance. No claim is made that these are hand-drawn artworks, that an established artist is involved, or that another collection endorses the project.

Collection and payment terms

Maximum supply: 1,000 tokens. Price: 50 native USDC per token, plus gas paid in ETH on Base. USDC has six decimals; the contract price is 50,000,000 base units. There are no reserved tokens, free owner mints, presale discounts, or additional mint tiers in the supplied contract.

A transaction can mint one to five tokens. An address may purchase at most ten over its lifetime, even if those tokens are transferred. An address limit is not a one-person limit: the same person may control multiple wallets.

The deployment chain is Base mainnet, chain ID 8453. The payment-token address is 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913, as identified by Circle. Buyers should independently check the chain, token, price, collection address, and transaction details in their wallet.

On a successful mint, the contract transfers payment directly from the purchaser to the immutable treasury and issues the NFTs in the same transaction. If the transaction reverts, the payment and mint revert together, although blockchain gas may still be charged. The contract has no automatic refund or buyback mechanism; applicable consumer rights are not waived by this technical description.

Ownership and use of the artwork

Owning an NFT means owning the token recorded by the collection contract. It does not provide equity, revenue share, royalties, yield, governance rights, physical goods, access privileges, or rights to future releases.

The project intends to dedicate the generated artwork under CC0 1.0, to the extent the publisher controls rights that can be dedicated. Anyone, including non-holders, may display, copy, modify, or commercially reuse the artwork under that dedication. Token ownership therefore does not provide exclusive image rights. AI-assisted work may have limited or no copyright protection in some jurisdictions.

The contract source is supplied under the MIT license; imported OpenZeppelin code retains its own license notices. CC0 does not grant rights in third-party trademarks or imply endorsement. See https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ for the dedication terms.

Architecture and administrative powers

The supplied contract uses Solidity 0.8.30 and OpenZeppelin Contracts 5.4.0. It is a standalone ERC-721 contract, not a proxy. Supply, price, payment-token address, treasury, and rendering rules cannot be changed through its public functions after deployment.

The owner can open or pause primary minting and transfer ownership using a two-step acceptance process. Pausing minting does not pause NFT transfers. The inherited ownership implementation also allows renouncing ownership; doing so while a sale is paused would prevent reopening it. Ownership should not be renounced casually.

The contract generates SVG artwork and JSON metadata as data URIs. Rendering does not depend on an external image server or IPFS pin. Blockchain access, compatible viewers, and rendering support remain necessary. The public website is a convenience interface and may become unavailable independently of the token contract.

The mint function uses a reentrancy guard, safe ERC-20 transfers, and safe ERC-721 minting. Payment is an exact fixed amount; the website requests an approval capped to the selected purchase rather than an unlimited approval. A rejected or failed mint can leave a previously granted allowance in place, which the holder may revoke using their wallet.

Security and verification

Automated local tests check payment amounts, supply and wallet limits, authorization, pause behavior, transfer behavior, inline metadata, invalid mint requests, and full sellout accounting. These checks do not constitute an independent security audit or guarantee that the contract is free of defects.

The creation transaction is 0xcc44e2649d2bdac6f3983eca082e5c18f1a9cf1977481182572120293cd08166, recorded in Base block 52493791. The local creation bytecode and all three constructor arguments match the onchain creation data returned by Sourcify. The verification record is available at https://repo.sourcify.dev/8453/0xDa740bAE9E8d1Bb2bEd162A3D05E3d9E6Ccc2410 . BaseScan source verification is not confirmed: automated forwarding encountered a daily submission limit.

Deployment is not evidence that the mint has been rehearsed. No completed testnet rehearsal has been confirmed to the publisher. Before opening a sale, review the live contract state in the wallet-connected operator console, complete the rehearsal, and publish creator and support details. Official contract: 0xDa740bAE9E8d1Bb2bEd162A3D05E3d9E6Ccc2410 on Base mainnet. The project never needs a collector's recovery phrase or private key.

Economics and operational scope

At the proposed price, 200 paid mints generate 10,000 USDC gross. A complete sellout generates 50,000 USDC gross. Neither is a demand forecast or a promise. This edition cannot generate 500,000 USDC in primary receipts under the stated price and supply. USDC is designed to track the US dollar, but that peg and redemption availability are not guaranteed.

Gross proceeds are not profit. Production, hosting, contract deployment, promotion, professional services, taxes, and any refunds must be accounted for separately. There is no contractual revenue allocation to NFT holders, no royalty revenue assumption, and no obligation to fund future projects.

The current product is the artwork and token. No future utility roadmap is sold with it. Any later collection would require a separate description, supply, and pricing decision; owning this edition does not confer an allocation or discount.

Risks and limitations

Collectors may be unable to resell their tokens, and any resale price may be below the purchase price. Public floor quotes and past performance of unrelated collections do not establish future value. The project does not promise liquidity, market-making, appreciation, exchange listings, or financial returns.

Additional risks include contract defects, wallet compromise, mistaken transactions, network or sequencer outages, stablecoin depegging or issuer freezes, phishing, incompatible marketplaces, and changing legal or tax requirements. Transfers on a blockchain are generally difficult or impossible to reverse.

The project name is a working creative identity, not evidence of an incorporated entity or trademark registration. A preliminary web search is not legal clearance. The operator's identity, contact method, applicable sales terms, and any jurisdiction-specific obligations remain launch prerequisites.

Privacy and collector support

The supplied website has no email collection form, advertising pixels, or custom analytics. Wallet connection is initiated by the visitor. Blockchain addresses and transactions are public. Hosting providers, wallet providers, and RPC services may process technical information such as IP addresses according to their own policies.

A public support channel has not yet been configured. The sale interface remains unavailable until the operator supplies one. No claims are made about staffing, response times, social follower counts, partnerships, or an existing collector community.
